In December of this year I will be attempting to become the first paraplegic in a wheelchair to walk 130km up to Mt Everest Base Camp with my braces and walking sticks.
The fundraiser will be used to support and fund this world first trek. Surplus funds raised will support the Red Bull Wings For Life World Run Project of which I am a new ambassador for in 2023.
The Wings For Life World Run project is a global initiative that supports promising spinal cord injury research projects and clinical studies with their main goal to find a cure for spinal cord injury.
Included in your ticket will be food, entertainment & kids entertainment for the afternoon.
*Drinks can be purchased at the venue on the day.

Everest Project 2023
Background
After being the victim of a helicopter crash in 2018, I suffered serious injuries, with the most serious being a devastating spinal cord injury.
I was given the news that I will never forget, being told that I would never walk again and be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
That news was something that was so crushing, I just could not begin to accept what that would look like for the rest of my life without going all in to learn to walk again.
The Everest Base Camp Project
After 3.5 years of relentless rehab and training I took my first steps again with a walking frame and now 5 years later I will be attempting to become the first paraplegic in a wheelchair to walk 130km up to Mt Everest Base Camp with my leg braces and walking sticks.
A lot of you were there at the start of the journey 5 years ago when I promised you I would walk again one day. I look forward to saying thankyou to each and everyone of you for your support along the way.

Extra funds raised will be donted to the Red Bull Wings For Life World Run. project and raising much needed awareness for the continual research for a cure for spinal cord injury is something that is a very strong personal mission now.
To have the absolute freedom and gift of walking taken away by paralysis for so many years, I know first hand how much other individuals living with spinal cord injuries would absolutely dream to be in my position walking everyday. I do not take this very fortunate position im in lightly and have a deep pull to really prove you can Defy Odds and conquer your own personal mountains.
